"Don Rich was the ... ( 1 month ago by 1tag2)
"Don Rich was the sparkling country guitar player in Buck Owens's "Buckaroos" band of the 1960s, but besides Rich's style, both Garcia's pedal steel guitar playing (on Grateful Dead records and others) and his standard electric guitar work, were influenced by another of Owens's Buckaroos of that time, pedal-steel player Tom Brumley."
copyright Wikipedia 2008 Now it makes sense that Garcia and Kleinow had a simular sound going on. Both men must have been influenced by the "Buckaroos".

I always thought Gram Parsons was overrated as a singer and songwriter, but Hillman is always good and Sneaky Pete was the real talent here--great pedal steel!!

12strings, Sweetheart of the Rodeo is one of THE great records ever. Yeah, Gram was a little two country for the Byrds--one of his contributions on the record is a Merle Haggard tune-- but many people say Mcguinn was also jealous of his talent. I actually found a girl in Seattle who makes t-shirts by hand, and one her specialties is an exact replica of the Sweetheart album cover. I treasure it!.

tolerance of the ... ( 1 day ago by princessofhesse)
tolerance of the world in general, i would think, tolerance goes hand in hand with understanding and also being able to step out of the picture and let the addict take responsibility for his or her own actions...you can carry the message, but not the addict...
