| Megadeth has not always been great in concert. Granted, it's been a long time-going back to 1994 or so, during the "Clash of the Titans" tour, they sounded awful. My friend and I had good venue seats and we were talking over the music-believe me we were not close to shoutng. The other bands that played-Alice in Chains and Slayer-sounded terrific. So, we figured it was their equipment or set up. Within the next few years, we saw Megadeth a few more times, and each time it sounded just as bad. |

| yea some songs they made were kinda country, but DUDE theyre the opposite of sellout. Please find out what words mean before you use them. Selling out is when you lose your original course to please the fans and get more money/fame. Metallica did the OPPOSITE!! They changed completely coz thats what they wanted, and fans werent happy at all. They did NOT sell out |

| Well I agree that Megadeth pwns Metallica, but I wouldnt necassarily call any of Metallica's songs country. If ur thinking of The Unforgiven, Fade to Black, One, ect., they were more rock ballads than country. |

| Ignorant fools. Megadeth and Metallica both kick major ass. If you pick just one band to follow, you're robbing yourself of a musical genius. Hell, if it wasnt for The Call of Ktulu, I never would've picked up a drum set. Guess who composed the guitar parts? Dave Mustaine. Guess what band he was in? Metallica. They BOTH have an influence on me as a musician. Grow up and quit arguing. |

| I know what sellout means and its a point of view if metallica changed to do what they want to do or changed cuz of the new wave hard rock. For me metallica changed after the responses to Nothing Else Mathers.They saw new fans that are loving this song and dont rly care about the heavy songs so they changed to more soft style in load and reload.Now they see that their true fans like only the old stuff and are trieing to return to that style in the new album. | the thing about metallica and megadeth is Dave really did write most of metallica's "kill'em all" album and a lot of fans,as SDragonPsichoDriver said were draw to the heavy aspect however when metallica differnciated they lost fans and attempting to regain their fans failed pretty badly,but megadeth,driven by dave really made a consistant band and kept most of their fans through and through,i saw metallica in marley park and think their awesome but megadeth are by far the stronger influence |

| Yeah I think people respect dave and them alot because they were able to advance as players and as artists in writing lyrics and instrumentation but have been able to retain that heavy aspect and they don't have to overhaul their style to sound original I still think Marty and chris poland were their best guitarists but chris broderick might do a good job |
