And I'd love to share my interpretation of this video, even if it will sound like pretentious plop.
Well, I was thinking about it earlier and I think the video is portraying all the different perceptions towards death that people create.
The chairs could be a portrayal of death. The people sitting upon them know that death is beneath them, and that things are doomed in the world (from all the fractioned and eerie scenes that are happening around them i.e. Thom missing an arm).
Some people are aware of the possibility that one day they may cease to exist, and try to distance themselves from that thought all they can, like when the drummer runs away from the chair at 1:03. But, death does not disappear- even though he is away from it, the chair is still there where he left it.
This next idea is a bit dodgy....but when the boy at decided to run with the chair, it could be like when people finally acknowledge death for what it is and actually decide to co-operate with it perhaps this bit could portray the people who accept death and allow themselves to die?
