He was Steve Hill's mentor. Bro. Steve was preaching in Pensacola, Florida at the Assembly Of God when revival broke out. Many drunks, addicts, prostitutes, etc. were saved during the world famous years long revival and they started a personal relationship with Jesus the Christ. Bro. Steve would work the streets and had teams of evangelists, newly born again, working with him for the Lord. Bro. Steve would always speak most lovingly and with the deepest of respect about Leonard Ravenhill.

Thank you for posting this. I think many people are beginning to realize the "altar call" is essentially a "work" that falsely leads people to think they are saved; too few understand what a true committment to Christ means.

The more I walk with God and read his word this is exactly what I see. A deep concern for the lost. They are everywhere. Even in our churchs. What a man of God. I would give a weeks wages just to ask him questions and learn from him.

SO much of Christianity is consumed with easy believism. Ravenhill is a great preacher who was not caught up in that and preached the true Gospel.

Way to go Len once again well put.This is exactly what being born again is. A call in anguish unto God. From the depths of the soul that knows its worth to itself amounts to nothing and deserves nothing but death and hell. But that same soul means everything to God, and through Gods grace and or faith he finds it fit unto His will to Save us from what we deserve.Ultimately It brings God Glory, and the Lamb that was slain is worth to be praised, honored, and glorified! So true. I spend 26 years in the church but until earlier this year I never really got the 'relationship' part of it. I didn't realise that God actually wanted to spend time with me, get to know me and speak to me and for me to LOVE spending time with him. Now I just can't get enough of him. I love listening to his word for me.

He is a special case, obviously. Being right next to Jesus (aka, God) is a little different than your typical 4 minute conversion.
