forget abuot those idiots.. anyway, ive never seen the carolina shag, just the collegiate, it looks like west coast swing timing with a mix of collegiate shag and tap dancing steps. although the music is rock and roll, it still looks good

Great job! I'm from SC & love the shag. To critics...the shag started from guys competing against each other at the beach not a ballroom. Ladies got a break. Besides, most ladies kept it smooth so they could keep their hair (pronounced Hay-ya)nice, not get too hot and most importantly hold their beer while they danced ;D

William and Jessica make this dance look easy, however to be at the level they are..it takes many years of practice. To be this smooth at this dance, you practice for years. I assure anyone that it is not easy to learn. It takes years to learn it this well.

The Carolina Shag is more about competition with other male dancers than it is about being a couple. In the old days guys would try and out do the other guys on the dance floor. This guy might be in love himself but look at him, can you say MAN, he's HOT!!
