| GUYS! Don't beat me up for the "Seinfeld" comment! I was just having fun with the fact that the Canadian TV station that broadcasted this Dimeola concert advertised (on screen from [5:00-5:13]) that "Seinfeld" was coming on next. That's all! I LOVE Al Dimeola, and I've seen him live twice! He's one of the ORIGINAL "staccato gods!" (before Steve Morse!)I also think that he gets undeservedly criticized for having NO feel! That's BULLSHIT! There's a lot of passion in his playing! PEACE! |

Actually, Yngwie's SPOTLIGHT article back in 1982 (or 83) listed 4 guitarists as influences: Blackmore, Roth, Holdsworth, Di Meola. He only later fabricated a Hendrix influence to distract people from his real sources. |
