Yeah. Its truly a BETA.. But then again.. iTunes for Windows has always been bloatware .. Sad but true. And dont get me started on Quicktime >.<

1,001 megs isn't a gigabyte -- 1,024 megs is. So it's not uite a gig. Still ridiculous though. But then, it's an Apple product on Windows. I still shudder over what Microsoft Office does to my mac. =(

I thought I was the only one. I've 19000 tracks and removed iTunes. Now winamp5.3 playback 24 bit. sounds better and is way faster

Steve Jobs has turned Apple into the most disgusitng corporation ever, and M$ is starting to pump out QUALITY products which are actually useful. To have to use close to 1GB of RAM to cycle through a bunch of 2d image covers is just rediculously bad programming. I could run HalfLife 2 AND Oblivion on full settings at the same time, and take up less than 1/3 of that ram.

They are in a 3D environment. And comparing games and music management software shows just how little you know about what goes in to the programming of each. ... BTW you still didnt give any programs that can do it better, and give you the usability that iTunes offers. No I'm not saying iTunes is the end all be all. But i will give credit where credit is due, from a programmer's standpoint.

Mate, I'm a 3d programmer too (admittadly though, only hobbyist). I know they have different things to manage, but even so, its just an example. Also, i doubt they would need a 3d environment for displaying iso'd album covers. A simple math (similar to a skew) with some filter effects would do the trick for much cheaper. Better Apps: Linux- Amarok, Windows - WinAmp. Hell, even WinMP is decent enough.
