Normally I get more laughs out of the bad auditions but this was the #1 moment for me on idol... watch Simon's face... he REALLY came out 2nd place against Chris..... Chris is my fav of the lot, it's hard to say if he'll win but I really hope he does and if not.. goes a long way.

Simon's a twat. He's a classic case of being able to easily serve the insults but never, ever take them. Plus, his entertainment output is the musical equivalent of Coca-Cola. Something that makes everyone happy and doesn't take them on an adventure. Plus, it shuts out all the GOOD, INDEPENDENT artists who are struggling, much like Coca-Cola etc.

Bottom line. He's not a very good singer. He just belted it out. Timing was bad, performance hyped by the audience and the moment. Simon described the whole thing with absolute perfection. Ryan Seacrest should stick to hosting and leave the judging to those best qualified.
