| Ah ricky a turbo doesn't provide free horsepower. You have decreased horsepower and engine lag at lower rpm's unless the turbo is so small it makes no difference. If you are going to be sitting still reving at a start a turbo is a nice option as are smaller turno's for daily driving. Traditionally V-8's run at lower rpm's to so turbo's are/were less used on them. The import 4 bangers typically ran at higher rpm's and so could get into boost range instead of drag from an turbo very quickly. |
