I hope you don't think that Satanism is all about hating Jesus. I'm a Satanist and I don't think Jesus was worthless. He was a great philosopher who managed to inspire people to create a world religion in his name. You have to admit that is pretty impressive.

Actually, I can. The purpose of Satanism is to expand the self. The entire idea, originally, is counter-organization, because organized religion is more about the collective than the individual. In addition to this, LaVeyans do not acknowledge deities.

Akercocke said on Bruce Dickonson's radioshow before that "Satanism is basically atheism with a sense of humour" & then said something about how fun it is to piss off Christians :P lol but getting back to what you were saying, i think LeVey obviously ripped off Nietzsche so modern Satanists are not only atheists in disguise, but existentialists too ^_^
