i hate when people say his techniques are "unneseccary" (unnecessary) or "just for show." andy mckee is a true guitarist. he is not bound by conventional guitar playing. he takes his instrument and makes music. other guitarists make melodies, which are backed up by harmonies and rhythms which then make up music. its been a while since i could call any modern music "art." i dont see whats unnecessary about anything he does. his style isnt some sort of gimmick. its pure, soulful art.
