"Thank You" By Ray Boltz

September 15, 2008: So I have gotten 100s of comments concerning Ray's coming out. I think we are all very shocked and maybe a little worried, but I had to not post most of them because they were simply too mean-spirited. When I said before I would not post mean-spirited comments concerning this, I did not mean comments saying they disagreed with his choice would not be posted. I meant I will only post comments that came with good intentions, and not from a judgemental mind.
I'm not going to go into is homosexuality right or wrong, is it a choice or some gene that is built in at birth. But I will say I still love ray's music. He has sang and written some of the greatest gospel songs ever and I am scared for him and feel sorry because I can only imagine the kind of comments he's getting and a lot of people are going to shun him for this.
It is okay to tell someone you do not agree with their lifestyle, or do not understand it. But I think it is VERY important to remember God wants us to hate the sin not the sinner so if you express concern for their souls, do it with a loving heart. Do not just stick your nose up at them and say "your going to hell" because that just pushes them farther away. I've learned this the hard way. Remember that God's Love is for EVERYONE, and when he died on the cross he was doing it not only for you, but for Ray as well.
What if it was your father who came out? Or your brother? your friend? You may not agree with their choice but, if your any kind of person you would still love them. How would you feel if people made the kind of comments to them that you all have been making to Ray?
Bottom line, just, pray for this sitatuion that God will move and will have his way. In the meantime, some of you need to get your noses out of the air long enough to examine YOURSELVES and why you think that you are the one exception to the fact that gossiping, hatred and judging are all sins as well.
the ever-so-popular "thank you for giving to the lord" song. I'm sure most of us have people in our lives that this song reminds us of, for me it would be my pastor and my mother.

As much as judging is a sin though you have to remember that the Bible does call homosexuality a peversion. On top of that you have to remember that the Bible says that if a brother stumbles go to him and confront him, if he does not turn from his evil ways take another and if he still does not turn take the church. If he still refuses to turn release him to the devil to be renewed. (paraphrase)

If Ray Boltz happens to visit the page, with all the comments (good and bad), I hope he sees this one: Jesus loves you, and He's used you in great ways to reach souls for Christ through your God-given gift of music. Whether people are mean to you or kind to you, keep looking to Him. Know always that He loves you. Just keep loving Him & obeying Him and be at peace in the Lord Who loves you so.

Thanks for loving Ray. I will pray for Ray to return to what he knows is the truth. I pray the blood of Jesus will take care of the author of confusion. Ray I weep and pray for you daily. You are loved very much. My husband does the same. Your songs still mean the same, tears flow as I hear them. Thank you Ray and Jesus. We love you Ray and so does Jesus.

We are to help a fallen brother, but it has to be constructive.We are to try to bring them out of their sin, not just point it out. I just pray that Ray Boltz will see the light of this. Remember everyone, that I, as well as everyone commenting, have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, but also in that same book it says all things work for the good to those who love the Lord (Romans). If he truly loves the Lord, this will pass and he can use it to learn from.

I'm glad that Ray Boltz told people that he is gay. I don't agree with the life style but I do respect him for having the guts to finally come out and tell us. I know how hard it is to share something like that with the public (and even with family).

In the end it is not what anyone thinks that will condemn Ray Boltz for his immoral decision. It is God who will judge. It is up to us to pray for him to see the error of his ways and continue to love him in the Lord.
God will surely forgive him if he will just ask. No lifestyle is worth risking an eternity in hell for.

One day we will all stand in judgement, the Lord will judge us. I shall not judge Ray or any other for their sins. I will pray, for that is my great privalege. I will also pray for those of you with harsh words, for your heart must be filled with pain and sadness, not the love of Christ.

You need to start judging all the adulterers (those who have been divorced and remarried) in your church, then. If you're in that "City Church" in Chattanooga, you know what I'm talking about. You know there's a difference between adultery and fornication. City Church (and whe whole COG denomin

Good grief, people get a grip! There is nothing immoral about being gay. It's the way God made some people. What is immoral is living a lie. Gay people can lead moral lives, and straight people can lead immoral lives. Good for Ray that he had the courage to come out and live as the person God intended rather than living a lie. As for the crap about an abomination-the Bible also says eating shrimp is an abomination, you can sell your daughter into slavery, among other things we no longer believe.

Ray has said that he's now "living a normal gay lifestyle", i.e. having sex with men. Not only is he committing the sin of homosexuality, but also the sin of fornication. Sex, Biblically and naturally, is clearly to be solely between a man and a woman united in marriage. Not a hard one to figure out.
