I found Amorphis on the Talse record too. Borke up with 2 years of relationship because my girl would let me go to see them. But i disagree with you. Amorphis has developed through years. Shure the older albums are more black metal but seriously the new ones have something that every band should find to theyr new music. Great band, great albums. And i'v seen them 5 times live They shure do kick ass.

They had just a minitour in Finland, 4 gigs in the first week of March, and this one gig in this small pre-festival, just quite random stuff. :)

Tomi is a great singer. Pasi is A FUCKING BEAST! His vocal work with Amorphis, Shape of Despair and Ajattara is so diverse, it's like three or four different personalities not only in performance but in lyrics as well.

I dunno although they may be death metal I find the instrumental surprisingly melodic for death metal even if it's melodic death metal lol Still does it matter the genre when the music is cool ? :)

This is one of the album where they started crossing over to a more new wave metal. If you want their death metal stuff, check out songs from "The Karelian Isthmus". That's an extremely heavy death metal album.
