If you're an early Helmet fan, give Barkmarket a shot. Slightly similar, but a little looser. If you can find the tracks: Shiner, Visible Cow, Falling and I Drown... A couple of my favorites.

No - Pete Mengede left after their finalzied Meantime tour finished in 93. Rob E. filled in for their Betty album which was why Meantime and Betty had two completely different sounds. Pete Mengede went on to play in an amazing band called Handsome after Helmet...

I am a devoted fan, Page's riff style influenced me into playing guitar, now when I just screw around on the guitar I 'm always pulling staccato type riffing's like Helmet style I can't help it.

I just saw them at Key Club in Hollywood last Friday... was just an incredible show. Page absolutely had it rolling and the rest of the band was excellent. Really encourage you all to find a way to see them live.

And Rob went on to be in Biohazard...::insert joke here:: He can be seen in the Biohazard video for "Authoirty" which a few people have posted on youtube. It always cracks me up when Rob punches through the glass window while the Biohazard "vocalists" (Seinfield and the other guy) yell "F@#! the Rules!" a bunch of times.
