What the hell are you on? This song is IMMENSE! they don't act gay! River Phoenix is lush! They have an extremely powerful friendship. That doesn't mean they're gay. I recently saw Stand by Me on vacation, and from what my mother told me the original story was by Stephen King, called "The Body". The short story and movie were almost identical. Oh, and I enjoyed the movie, but I'm addicted to this song. Rest in peace River.
