It does sound "Scandinavian." Growing up (half Norwegian, half Swedish), I tried to imitate the way my relatives sounded--this sounds pretty close. Now that I've studied the languages it doesn't sound quite as close. Much like not "getting it" when someone imitates an American English accent using nonsense words. Culturally I'm pretty Scandinavian and there certainly is a "seriousness" or no-nonsense personality inherent in many of us, like it or not.
