Yeah, how dare the audience show its appreciation of such a wonderful performance. Here's a hint for you -- if you don't like "idiots" cheering, you probably shouldn't go see live performances.

I'm glad we agree about the idiots in the crowd. What a buzz kill. Here's a hint for you--I wouldn't let idiots keep me from going to see a live performance...it's not my fault they are disrespectful. If I had the power I would correct them and people like you from rude behavior while in the presence of greatness. Have a good day.

I have been a performer for 30 years. When I (and my fellow performers and just about every other performer I know) hear hoots and cheers from the crowd, we LIKE it. It means they're really into us and it creates a flow of energy between us and the performer. If that's not your thing, again, I urge you to stay home. I promise you, performers won't miss your truly negative attitude.

Congratulations, you've been a performer for 30yrs! When they cheered you was it right after you said you were getting off stage? Urge me to stay home? I didn't realize you set all the rules for attending live shows! That "noise" that comes from the crowd during a bands play time is rude...and unnecessary...you're there to watch the band make sounds, not everyone else...this really needs to change as it is simply outside interference. Good day!

dude first of all he says "pick that" or "pluck that" Have you ever been to a real concert. I don't mean a rock show. Any real jazz concert people are always responding to solos. It is a form of encouragement. That is nothing new.

It's very common ... ( 2 months ago by fraskydingy)
It's very common for traditional songs to have lots of variations. One thing that can make a song traditional is that it belongs to a cultural group as a whole. For this reason it is very hard to determine who the original author of a traditional song is, and it may be that very old traditional songs evolved from other songs, so don't really have a first author. This is true of folk culture in general, including folksongs, folktales, folk toys, etc. p.s. I love this version.

i agree... why not ... ( 1 month ago by majhead)
i agree... why not jus listen to the c.d or get a dvd of them. one of the best parts of going to a gig is the crowd atmosphere. coupla years ago i saw snoop dog play at a festival.. it was one of the best gigs i've ever been to and i really don't like snoop dog's music - the magic was in the intensity between crowd and performers.

plus they're blind... the need the crowd to make noise... not like they can look to see if the crowds diggin it!
