When I used to be a car audio installer in the mid 90's I always used Depeche Mode and Enigma to tune systems... Nothing sounds better than a full DSP rig blasting Depeche Mode... It wasn't corporate America who killed the 80's music, it was the lack of talent to follow.... The 80's were our last golden years as a society, everything since has been downhill and will be...Don't believe me? Go read your SSI report and tell me why you make less now than you did in 1985...

No, you've got the lack of talent and general change of tastes to blame for the disappearence of this kind of music. Record companies sign the artists who they think will be the most popular. untrue. while you may be familiar and happy with your 80s music, that is most likely due to your growing up in the 80s, so it naturally would have a good effect on you. Music is constantly changing, so something you may be familiar with in the past obviously may not be as abundant in today's music scene. for example, a 20 year old might think this kind of music is terrible, because he grew up with 90s music.
