Actually blender is becoming a recognized program being used in alot of comercials and student films I use the registered version of maya in school and blender at home and honestly there are only subtle differences in the software blender does have a way to go before being used in big industry but it is on its way. and by the way blender is entirely capable of something like this.

yeah blender is awsome! recently ive been using maya but wihtout having had experience with blender learning maya would be much harder. so if anyone is looking to get intobigger name brands like maya and so on then you should download blender, its free!!!!!!and its a grat way to gain experience in cg animation. and im not saying you have to use blender as just a starting point, its perfectly capable of creating brilliant cg animation!

This animation is awesome. But as far as a movie goes I think it's just going to out live it's purpose, I mean, how much can you o with this. Besides, the fact that Vin Diesel will be casted pisses me off, cus he is terrible.
