OK, so Duane wasn't the best guitarist around - but he made some great records; very much of the time but a great sound. No matter how many better guitarist I hear, Duane will still hold a special place with me and a special place in music history

I guess there isn't anyone out there old enough to have heard of a fellow named Les Paul. What makes them all great isn't whether they are better than anyone else, but that they all have their own distictive style.

I remember Les Paul and Mary Ford quite well..Les used to crack bubble gum sometimes when recording his music...It can be heard on some of his recordings as a loud crack in the background.

Les Paul had all ... ( 3 weeks ago by Lafforte)
Les Paul had all his fingers. He was in a car accident and injured his right (picking) elbow, and it was basically bolted at the proper angle to play his guitar. That might what you're referring to. "After the crash, doctors told Paul that they'd have to set his arm such that he would not be able to bend it again. He had them position his arm at a ninety degree angle so he could still play guitar". (From Wikipedia)
i agree with you. ... ( 1 week ago by jessupar)
i agree with you. it kind of takes the entire effort out of the song and just adds ALOT of reverb onto the guitar.. but oh well.
