This song was originally performed in the 60's by some guys. I heard the girl was discovered while working in a dry cleaners in London and had to ger her parents permission to be in the band. I never heard about the porn star stuff.

This was written and recorded by The Strangeloves in '65. The late Bo Diddley recorded a song titled, 'Bo Diddley' in '55. The music is remarkably similar. However, a lot of rock era music is highly influenced by prior chart hits. Early rockers like Bo felt flattered, I think, that they inspired others in such a manner.

Wrong! She was born October 31, 1966. This song was released in May 1982 when Annabella Lwin(born Myint Myint Aye in Yangon, Myanmar)was just 15 years old. I found this in Wikipedia. She joined the band in 1980 at the age of 13 after being spotted by a friend of the band's producer Malcom McLaren singing in a launderette. Her father is Burmese, her mother is English.
