Where The Wild Things Are - Early DISNEY CG Animation Test

Video Description:
1983 animation test by Disney, directed by John Lasseter (who went on to direct and produce most of the Pixar films, including Toy Story). Back then Disney owned the film rights to the Where The Wild Things Are books... they didn't use them, though, so they lost them. Check out this amazing test, which combined traditional hand-drawn, 2D animation with then-state-of-the-art 3D computer animation!

Yeah but Disney features have always been based on other stories, so why couldn't The Lion King be based off of Kimba? Of course that probably didn't make it right for them to claim that it was their 1st feature not based on an existing story but I guess the only explanation is that they didn't know that the show existed when they made it, so I guess it's unintentionally based on Kimba.

Walt Disney initially said that he was inspired by tezuka, but he never put any thanks on the credits or something...so people thaught and thinks that's an original creation...and Disney didn't disliked it...

Um, no, Tezuka himself said in a ducumentry about his career before he died that he was inspired by Walt Disney. Or are you talking about the lion king and the anime that came before it, Kimba the white lion?
First of all, Walt Disney had been dead for 28 years when the lion king came out, so he had nothing to do with that film.
Anyway, yes, the disney company was inspired by that anime clearly, and the story was also inspired by Shakespear's Hamlet.

yeah tezuka was inspired by disney's BAMBI and created Kimba, which was STOLEN from the disney company with the lion king.(the story was from shakespeare,ok). i know that walt disney was dead in 1994, i just wrote wrong XD
