BBC and a lot of western media keep lying by saying Chinese news does not report disruption in torch relay. I heard this line repeated several times in BBC and some Canadian news network. CNN claim "Chinese are unaware of what is happening". They could have said China is putting a positive light or twist but no, they said it is NOT reporting so Chinese are ignorant and have no idea what is going on.
This video shows an actual Chinese news reporting both side. The worse you can accuse them of is putting positive spin. And Chinese are not ignorant. They have access to the internet and the government can only block so much site. They also overlook the fact that overseas Chinese are behind Chin
a on this one and there were lots of people cheering for the torch relay. Those Chinese including professionals and Doctors even grew up overseas, so their false claim of brainwashed by communist media does not hold water. At least Chinese can follow both English and Chinese news from around the wor
ld giving them more access to wider points of view. What happen in Tibet is almost like September 11 as far as the Chinese are concern. So just imagine after September 11 if Chinese media report totally ignored Americans killed and start protesting U.S. government crackdown on the terrorist. They
start claiming ongoing massacre when there's no proof other than separatist claim. Tourist eyewitness account are ignored and separatist violence are glorified or justified. Imagine right after September 11 if Chinese started saying those killed by Bin Laden were justified.
