1959 ... a little girl uprooted from her beloved homeland, emigrated to another; one of the first songs I heard upon my arrival. It was haunting then, as it is now. I never realised [UK sp] what a beautiful voice Eddy Fisher had. Lovely song, excellent quality recording. Many thanks for the nostalgic trip.

This took me back to my childhood, my mom used to sing this song to me, my name is Cindy. Hearing it brought tears to my eyes, my mom passed away 9 years ago. Thank you so much, I had never actually heard this song before, but Eddie Fisher's voice is so beautiful, gave me great memories, thank you again.

I never thought I'd hear this song again. My mother would sing this to me when I was a child. She and my dad were married in 1951. I think this helped her learn English. She was a young Greek bride in a new country. Hearing this again has broaght her back, if only for a moment. Thank you.
