umm that was a bit unfair in modern day they just make cars to really high specs 20 years ago when i was born the cars couldnt be that good otherwise you couldnt afford them. I think if they updated the audi quattro with a bit of computer tech it would be unbeatable.

you guys should check your history books. The EVO is a descendant of the EX 2000 Turbo Lancer which was also a group B homogolation car and raced against the Audi Quattro in the 1000 lakes in 1982 coming a respectable 3rd. The Lancer was 2 wheel drive.
While it was in no way a serious contender to the 4WD's, you'd do well to get your facts right before accusing the Japs of copying. Audi is a great car, no mistake, but you should get your rallying history right in the first place.

since it was the most advanced turbocharged engine and used extensively since 1980. The weak points in the 4g63B engine are only the counter rotating balancer shafts which run off smaller belts prone to snapping, and also running poor quality oil will give carbonising in the Impellor housing of the IHI Turbo. Otherwise it's tuneable to 450 bhp. not bad for a 2 litre 8 valve.
