Awesome song, playing, and vocals.
But.... 1. Neil Young was not looking out the screen door on the first CSN record. That was drummer Dallas Taylor. 3. Neil played on this song at Woodstock...um, no. Only Stills played guitar on this one. 4. This is played in E...um, not at Woodstock. The studio version was played in E but all
live performances of this I have ever seen were in a drop D tuning. Some say in DADDAD, some say another drop D tuning. I play it in DADDAD.

Woodstock was August 15 16 and 17, 1969. This is the 39th anniversary of Woodstock. Where did the time go??? I love this song. One of the greatest ever.

Neil Young didn't play on this song at Woodstock, but did play on others. He skipped most of CSNY's accoustic set. He is not seen in the Woodstock movie at all, even though he was there. He thought the filming would distract from the music, so he declined to appear in it.
Probably regrets it now.

I didn't go to Woodstock, but I got to see the movie before it was released to the general public and this performance blew me away. Stephen Stills is a totally unique and classy guitar player and his songs are profound and relevant. I feel like he says things to millions of people that I would like to say. Stills is in the RR Hall of Fame with Buffalo Springfield and CSN, but he needs to be in as an individual too."Suite: Judy Blue Eyes" is my all time favorite song.Stills is a musical genius.

I ran out of words in my previous post, but I just want to comment that the RR Hall of Fame is a joke and I have no respect for it. IN the Hall are Mahalia Jackson,Bill Monroe and Parliament/Funkadelic. Absurd! NOT in the Hall are The Moody Blues, Johnny Rivers, Linda Ronstadt, Carly Simon and Stills as an individual - just to name a few serious oversights. And as if the Hall hasn't shamed itself enough, last year they inducted a rapper/hip hopper!

Yeah...this was a great preformance, and there were a lot of great preformances at Woodstock, but the movie and the post-sixtiex idealization of the thing tends to whitewash all the bad stuff there was too. We do the same for the almost completely farcial "Summer of Love" that happened in San Francisco (populated, in George Harrison's words, by "hideous little spotty teenagers"). Don't get me wrong, I would've loved to be at Woodstock, but there was just as much bad music (and behavior) as good.
