Rick Dutrow needs to shut up. A "slight" quarter crack injury takes just shy of six weeks to adequately heal. Lucky Big Brown was off of the anabolic steroid Winstrol or things might have been worse. Dutrow just devalued a racehorse that is already genetically plagued by his feet. There is no Bree

Did anybody notice that Big Brown trainer Dutrow was wearing a cap with "TRUMP" on it? Was this at the bidding of one Donald Trump? Anyhow, who got trumped? Never forget that there was one thoroughbred that was actually a scratch from Race 11 that finishes ahead of Big Brown in this race itself. It's the Japanese-trained, Japanese-owned Casino Drive who will likely share much the same fate as Big Brown--but in the Breeder's Cup Classic.

BB was still unproven to me anyway having raced only against average horses even though he looked good doing so. Was off steroids for the first time and missed some training due to that quarter crack, so maybe he was due to 'bounce' as they say in horseracing.

I think BB is still a champion. Yes he was off of steroids, and there is ABSOLUTLY NOTHING WRONG with horses taking steroids, it was legal in all 3 of the triple crown races so there was nuthing wrong with him taking it. BB just wasnt himself on belmont day, but hes still a champ!

There once was a son of a Triple Crown winner, who won the Breeders Cup Juvenile, the Florida Derby and the Wood Memorial! In winning the Wood, however, he suffered a 1/4 crack to his front left hoof! They patched the crack and he went off as the favorite in the Derby....ran a dull race and finished 5th....His name was Unbridled's Song!!

So, now, the owner of Salute The Count is saying that the horse lung enhancer was quote:'legal -reiterate-legal' Well, it might be legal, but it IS illegal to give a horse too much - and that's what Dutrow did: Too much of the drug. He deserves the suspension. Hope he gets it. It's anazing how these trainers and owners twist their words aroung minute to minute.
