Video Description:
The Ikirezi Dream... for the World from the nightmare of a holocaust!
1994 Think of Rwanda and the word "genocide" flashes to the front of your mind. One million people murdered in 100 terrible days in 1994 have been tattooed into the collective conscious of the Word. Three "Ground Zero's" a day for 100 days. The weapons of mass destruction, primarily the machet
e! In terms of the sheer intensity of violence, the Worlds largest holocaust. 2007 "Uri Ikirezi cy' Imana", Rwandan for "You are a precious pearl of God" If, at first an idea is not absurd, there is no hope! Quote. Albert Einstein Imagine Tutsi saying to Hutu, Jew saying to Arab, Christian saying
to Muslim, (you add whatever combination you can think of) "You are a precious pearl of God". This video "chorus" is a "work in progress" and is intended as an introduction to the "Ikirezi Dream" Part of the dream is to have this chorus recorded by groups throughout the World. Street people in M
exico, Stockbrokers in London, Athletes in Coatbridge, Children in San Francisco, we will only be limited by our imaginations! This, the taster version, was recorded in Kigali by a group of young Rwandans in 2007. In the beginning. Linlithgow, Scotland. The roots of this chorus go back to a home i
n Scotland with three young children developing it to celebrate the forthcoming wedding their Aunt Laura in August 2006. (The word Ikirezi was discovered at the launch of Ikirezi Natural Products under the inspirational leadership of Nicholas Hitimana.) (see www.ikirezi.com) Kigali, Rwanda Childr
en again took over in November 2006 when the Hitimana family translated it into Rwandan. The next day a small group of widows and orphans started to sing the chorus. Elsie Hitimana added the words "Cy' Imana, of God"! More children became involved over that weekend. The Muvunyi family developed th
e chorus. By the Monday the song was ready to be sung by the Ikirezi farmers on the hills of Rwanda producing the essential oil. A Heavenly experience! USA A visit with Nicholas in February 07 to San Francisco introduced it to the USA! A group called "The Band of Friends" hosted by Ryon Paton gave
over their monthly meeting to hear the Ikirezi dream. Rwanda On a return visit to Rwanda in March 2007 groups in churches, schools and business conferences were getting in on the act! The Recording The group of young adults got together with Joie-Claire Mukakabera from World Relief and launched t
he singing dream! The Ikirezi dream is that the value and uniqueness of each person is proclaimed throughout the World as part of a movement with a single claim..."only the person who receives and gives the experience of being valued can give and receive the best" The vision for the chorus is that
it is developed and recorded by groups and individuals throughout the World. It will then be produced into a video to capture the messages for the World! "Being valued" is a gift that is, perhaps the greatest experience of all! The song on "You Tube" repeats the message that you are, we all are
all precious pearls of God. This message needs repetition! The words have a deep and profound meaning. When someone in Rwanda refers to a person as an "Ikirezi" there is an underlying meaning that that person does not know how valuable they are! To be continued! Gavin Cargill, co founder Value t
he Person. www.valuetheperson.com
