I'd like to point out that, although this genetic disease is very rare, research into FOP has been fascinating scientists, because it's illuminating a previously poorly understood area of human physiology involving bone growth. What scientists learn here may have broad-reaching implications for treating many diseases and disorders. It's a very good charitable opportunity, in my judgement.

Very dreadful illness. Not even knowing anyone with FOP, I can state that the people who live through it are very, very strong.
Recently, scientists have discovered a protein in sharks similar to the one that produces the extra FOP bone. This is a huge breakthrough: they are testing it, and are tantalizingly close to finding a cure. Believe me Jasmine, the whole world who is aware of it is hoping the cure will come in time
to cure you. Do as many activities as you can, while you can!
