"stuff", as he pretentiously puts it about 80 times, never represents intrinsic value in the absence of others, or at least not in an exceedingly negative way, and if you think that he is only critical of exhibitionism, he is still illogical and overstating. and yes, I can't wait for you to rate this comment with as many thumbs down as possible. it's not a cheap attempt at reverse psychology, either, since I enjoy seeing fools revel in false authority

His repetition of "stuff" unifies & reinforces the central premise - people are more concerned with possessions than with enjoying everything else in life. He makes this point with his anecdote about someone who goes on vacation to a nice place. What's the first thing that person does? They obsess over their stuff. Then that person gets invited by a friend to go visit another nice location. Are they glad to have a friend & nice vacation? No they are worried about their stuff. Stuff is not life.

I find issue with his very basic idea that stuff is by itself a malign social factor. he is very unspecific and therefore terribly exaggerating. furthermore, he twice implies that storage room corresponds with people's desire for stuff, which is just nonsensical. look, I am not arguing for the sake of arguing, I simply think that there are several liabilities in the skit which render it unfunny
