LoL. Who influenced who I think Michael Schenker influenced Uli more than Uli influenced Michael. Check out first two album of Scorpions example Fly to The Rainbow where Uli wrote the lyrics but music was composed by Schenker and co-lead on it.

Yeah, and it's a bitch to play ... from the various videos, it seems he's playing it based on a box E minor-pent scale around the 12th fret ; some of those riffs are insane, jumps & pinky stretches ... in some ways, it's a bit easier up on the 17th fret.

The riff is easy, it's just another variation on every other UFO riff. But the solo ...! Schenker is in the same class as Santana, Kossoff, Hendrix & Van Halen for one reason. One second in you know it's him, not just some other 1,000 notes a second robot

but he has some excuses nearly all heavy rockers of the 70s lose their dangerous sound/riff into the mid 80s...after 83 it was over... hard rock became more radio/pop fm oriented... def leppard was a pop machine... Dio was already over and clich

even sombody less known Ronnie Montrose made great things in the 70s

This album is superb. My man show why he didn't join Areosmith, The Stones, Ozzy, ect. He didn't want to play someone else's music. He wanted to play his own stuff. Regardless of "making it". Props to Schenker for that. Thats rare.
