no i think that its totally reasonable that leona didn't get an award, all the people that got an award have got famous and successful by themselves, leona got it through winning a little singing competition, its much harder to get there on your own! don't get me wrong i like her and i have her album, but i think its fine that she didn't get an award this year, she's got the whole rest of her life to win awards!

camillaroseg - haha don't make me laugh! Take That have 'manufactured' stamped all over them! Kate Nash - err copy of Lily Allen mate! She's easily the best British female. The Brits is a joke. One big fat JOKE! Leona's made #1 on the USA Bilboard charts now, first British woman to do it in over 20 years. THAT, my friend, is a worthy winner. Not some manufactured boy/man group or some talentless copy off Lily Allen who can't write (or sing) for toffee.

What is happening now with Leona proves beyond all doubt what a huge mistake The Brits made by snubbing her. She is becoming MASSIVE in the US and all over the world. She is widely recognised as an incredible talent and is the most sought after singer ON THE PLANET. Some of us saw this coming and our complaints about The Brits snub have been proven correct. You Kate Nash fans are gonna start sounding really silly if you keep maintaining she is a better artist than Leona.

Truth is, Leona's voice is SOOOOOOOOO good that she deserves credit whether or not she writes her songs. Kate Trash is so bad at singing that she deserves fewer credits despite writing her own 'songs'. Reason for Kate winning is because Britain is becoming a nation of CHAVS. CHAV music for a chav nation. If you're simple, then you'll enjoy Kate's lyrics. If you're deaf, you'll enjoy her singing.

You cannot compare Kate Nash and Ashlee Simposn. So what if Kate;s songs are like a diary entry. At least she is singing her own feeling...not some one elses. You said it yourself, Leona "co writes.," if that. Anyway if she atualy did write her own songs you wouldn't be so defensive.

I'm a fan of Leona, but I have to agree with you - she hasn't released anything in the UK/Ireland for months and yet we first discovered her. America isn't everything. Her management obviously think different though. I wish they wouldn't make her so manufactured.
