Great clip. I love how the interviewer treats him with respect w/out gushing all over him like James Lipton, et al. Also, there's no silliness and sexual innuendo in the interview, which is always in evidence now, as if no one will watch w/out a toilet joke. Where has American culture gone?

I love Leonard Nimoy, I think he was the best actor in TOS! He was really cool! lol even now when I was in high school if they made us watch a documentary the only way anyone paid attention was if the narrator was "Spock" lol

When art is sound, (ie excellent quality) it resonates on its own merits. That's the magic of it, sadly we don't see that too much now.

Admittedly the pic is a bit fuzzy in this interview late in the first season, but you still get a sense of how great Fred Phillips' makeup job was. If I had to guess I'd say this was done around the time of the shooting of "This Side of Paradise."

I am a spanish-speaking person who learnt
english late in life, and when I hear the
new-age-english-speaking actors I have often trouble trying to understand them.
However,Mr. Nimoy IS something very different,
his english is clean, intact and elegant, just
as his whole person is.

I was raised in Sacramento, CA. and the gentleman interviewing Mr. Nimoy is none other than Harry Martin who was a huge news/TV personality in Sacramento for decades. I moved away after high school almost 30 years ago and just found out that Harry passed away this year at the age of 81. Loved the original Star Trek series!
