I honestly believe we think too much of ourserlves as a human race if we assume that we can do anything to cause any meaningful change in such a huge and complex system as the global climate. Measured on such an enormous scale we are less than nothing whatever we do or do not do. There had been violent climate swings for hundreds of millions of years before the first humans set foot on Earth driven purely by natural factors. We seem to have been spoiled by a few exceptionally stable millennia.

You can't be serious. Drought is the history of Australia. The current situation is NOTHING when compared to droughts of the past. Take for example the federation drought - lasted from 1890s through 1902. There are so many examples of much worse droughts in the past, and guess what - nothing has c
hanged. Drought is a natural part of the Australian climate, its history clearly shows this. Blaming drought on AGW is just plain silly

Do I think "global warming," more accurately termed as "climate change," is real? Yes. Do I think that the main culprit is the burning of fossil fuels? No. Besides natural factors (volcanoes, geysers, etc.) and the earth's natural cycles, I believe that the primary causes of CO2 proliferation are: overpopulation and deforestation. More people = more CO2 (not just from burning of fossil fuels). Fewer plants and trees = less CO2 absorbed by photosynthesis. The environment is simply off balance.

It's a lot more complicated than you think it is. By '6 degrees' we mean GLOBAL AVERAGE. Just 2 degrees is a lot on a world scale. Just that is enough to cause close to overwhelming heat and possible famine, because 'degree', in this sense, is a lot more technical. 6 degrees, therefore, could *ahem* WILL be catastrophic.

Imagine if the whole Earth were to suddenly heat up. Water would dry out, giving plants and animals no resources. I bet you think, "What about processed foods?" We NEED plants and animals to make food, no matter what your thinking! Coca-Cola? We need Cocoa Trees and caffeine/sugar cane. French Fries? Potatoes, dude. And any dairy product needs either goat milk or cow milk. Face it: 2 degrees could effect the whole world!

Once again, it's a lot more complicated that most anyone thinks. GLOBAL AVERAGE is the average temperature felt on the WHOLE WORLD. 2 degrees warmer would melt the ice caps, as it is already doing, but it would probably make it possible even to see the ground on Antarctica.

Regardless of the source of the excess CO2, to solve the problem of global warming we must do our best to restore CO2 levels to pre global warming conditions.
Hemp scrubs the air of excess CO2 as it grows and burns clean as biofuel. Hemp is a weed that grows fast and can create aftermarkets large enough to empower the world's economy.
We don't have 10 years. We must start growing hemp and reducing our carbon emissions.

if i remember corectly the third mass extinction on earth eaised the earth 10 degress killing around 90% of marine life and i think it was 50% of animal families (thats families/Species not animals alone, meaning it could be from and percent of life depending on how many animal families/Species existed at the time)

I love your pic. No, I was referring to the fact that they noted how at the end of the world there will be desert wastelands, which is exactly as they say in this movie. Global warming is out of fashion. Like 'saving the whales' in the 80s and the rainforests in the 90's. I would take these environmental concerns more serious if they didnt go in and out of fashion like bad haircuts.
