Modified Moog Prodigy

Video Description:
This video shows my selfmodified Moog Prodigy Synthesizer. It is played by a little software step-sequencer (seq-303) on my windows-computer, together with a Doepfer MCV4 Midi-to-CV/Gate-Interface. One row of the sequencer controls the pitch, another row controls the cutoff-frequency of the filter. This little Moog is also shown in the german musicians-magazine "Keyboards" 09/2006. On the magazines added DVD you can find another audio-example and some samples I`ve recorded.

This is a BX? I seriouly gotta look into the clear lite-wheels. I do like my Prod standard, however these mods you have are impressive, and obvioulsy useful. I want to see the back panel, do you have sumpin plugd into the VCF in?

Hello mixedmeteor. The lit wheels are also a modification I have done. And yes, I have the cutoff frequency also voltage-controlled from the sequencer. Just have a look at the video description.

Yeah...he didn't understand it technically. But i must say that I'm also not a Fan of Mods on Vintage Gear where the Case / Frontplate is heavily "destroyed". Anyway...Respect for your technical Work! Very nice. Sounds cool.

Hello lordoid, thanx for the flowers :-) I`ve done the mods 10 years ago, a time where I didn`t have had the money for a more complex synth. Since a few years I also have a Minimoog, and on this I will not make any mods. No, not on a mini. Although it had Lintronics MIDI on board, as I have bought it. But you can`t see this on the frontplate. There is just the MIDI-jack beside the other jacks on the back. But I think the Prodigy is not so high-value, that it would be a shame to do any mods.
