heihachi77, you really are an idiot. maybe YOU should take some mechanics classes and learn that a well built 4 banger can handle just as much power as a built V8 because you can run easily 30lbs of boost and nitrous and you dont have to worry bout over heating like a big block and your power to weight ratio is way better!!! a car thats running a 4 banger with 1000hp that weighs nothing will own a heavy big block running over a 1000hp.

its all about power to weight. look how light the nsx is. its only shellin out 290 and its 0-60 is under 4.5 sec. as much as i would want a v8, i would like a well built v8 thats not just smacked together. the day honda makes a v8 will be a sad day for ford gm dodge!

you say about how light the nsx is, well a camaro is only putting out 305hp and that does 0-60 in about 5 sec, so there really cant be much weight difference between the nsx and the camaro, however the reason that american v8s dont put out a lot of power for their size is because their emmisions standards are evry tight and this severley puts down the power and also american v8s are not designed for hp, they are made for crusing

heihachi77, you know what an evo is??? theres one producing 1100hp at 27lbs of boost. and yes most the fastest 1/4 mile cars are 8's like the record holding mustang that runs like a 6sec 1/4 at just over 200mph. and actually, one of ferrari's fastest cars is a six. and im not talking about civic's, im talking about well built small engine's. ive seen a supra beat a busa. never seen an 8 do it yet.

and you could not pull 1 g in a street car that has 500 hp becouse you can choose to have good lateral traction at the expense of rear traction. or you can have a car with alot of rear traction that will have terrible handleing.
