yeah, i don't get why some is in and other's out. u should have put electro people in here. dylan? anyway about the strokes. people forget that before that record kids were into rap rock 311 limp bizcit. the strokes, on an impact level are greater than nirvana. the years preceding were hidious. linkin park. we all forget what was considered cool. alot of relevant rock music was given a chance after the strokes. stripes, yeah yeah yeahs, before the strokes this stuff was not payed any attention.

chucktomms should speak for his or herself. the music was always there. clearly new order was out long before the random bands you named off in your statement there. you just had to look. youre now coming to an age where the mainstream has no appeal or allure, and all you need is some great indie or old school electro pop. you see, its your job to find music, no matter how obscure. it's the musicians job to put it out there. nothing is cool, only appealing, if just for a moment.

i saw echo, pil, sugarcubes, new order within a couple nights. i know new order was before is this it. i defended the strokes bc of the
comments preceding. the strokes had a greater ripple effect than the group they were. i did
not list random bands, i listed some bands that were loved before the strokes. the strokes helped kill alot of that and bands more deserving than bizcit got thier turn. like yy yeahs. i do my job. i find music evrywhere.what the masses like will always intrigue me.
