They were the Q of ... ( 1 month ago by EVariation)
They were the Q of the B5 universe, the First Ones, not just the Vorlons. At one point point in B5, they fast forwarded the human race to the final evolution, when the sun is going nova, human race=energy beings as shown, but not Q power level or even remotely close to it. Essentially what I am getting at, Fed tech is too primitive to combat ships that are similar or far superior to Species 8472 tech (Vorlon, Shadow, or hybrid tech as used by the Victory class destroyers).
Yes, I would ... ( 1 month ago by Diomedes01)
Yes, I would generally say that is likely true. Unless of course the nanoprobe technique they discovered on Voyager is effective against the B5 biotech. Can't be certain. And we do know that Shadow ships are vulnerable to telepaths. So maybe Counsellor Troy could actually earn her keep if they ever ran into a Shadow Battlecrab. :-)
We know for a fact ... ( 1 month ago by EVariation)
We know for a fact that Shadow uses uber advanced nanotech (various plague infested worlds, no cure ever found). Vorlons no doubt have their own. Hell, the Shadow are 1+ BILLION years old. Troy is far too weak. Very powerful telepaths will slow down Shadow ships, yeah.
Seeing all these ... ( 1 month ago by Diomedes01)
Seeing all these videos makes me wish someone would publish a video game that contained the ships and species from Trek, B5, BSG and SW all in one game. With the capability to pit them against one another. Would be fun!
One major ommision ... ( 1 month ago by Donrob1986)
One major ommision is the fact that B5 is protected by 'The Great Machine' controlled by the Minbari Drall. The machine during the series was observed not only defending the planet with powerful energy weapons (with the ability to defend B5 aswell), but also allowing users to remotely view far away locations such as star systems, as well as creating and controlling time fields.

Actually, I think ... ( 1 month ago by Leondrius)
Actually, I think the capabilities of the Vorlons were not demonstrated enough to know what they could actually do. Since they wanted to remain hidden from others, they always wore their encounter suits. I remember that Delen said that the First Ones used to walk among the stars like giants. It would seem to me that it meant they could go almost anywhere without use of spaceships. Of course everything is hypothetical, and none of us really know
Very true. We ... ( 1 month ago by Diomedes01)
Very true. We cannot be certain what their true capabilities really are. In the episode of B5 showing the humans evolving into First Ones themselves, they did seem to have extensive powers.
There is some inconsistency too. The Shadows were First Ones yet they seem to have corporeal forms. (Insect like) I did read on wikipedia that they have similar non-corporeal forms to Vorlons but that they 'choose' to appear in their current form. Not sure if that is canon or not.

I love the comments on here very positive (NO BITCHING) I love both shows and i think that this is awsome!!! I never dreamed that two huge dynsties would ever meet in this way??? What a battle...
thank you for showing me this!!!

I really didn't expect to enjoy this half as much as I did, but the whole thing was cleverly done. I think in some places the relative scale was a bit confusing (e.g. at one point a Galaxy-class starship appears about quarter size of Sovereign-class) but overall it was really good!

i think this is the best comparison so far, ok so starfleet didnt have sheilds but on the other hand the EA and ISA didnt use nukes, some ppl are saying that wasnt the full might of starfleet but it wasnt the full might of the EA or ISA, and if the minbari got involved! last but not least the wightstars have adaptive bio armour and are twice the size of defiant, this scrap could go on for ever but unless you get the tech guys from both shows to come up with an ancer we will never know

Fantastic work. Very cinematic. The debate about which show's ships are more powerful is silly, but I really enjoyed this video. I wish the TV shows had battles this well thought out.

ok, first off let me tell u that i am a big startrek freak as well as my girl. anyways let me first say WTF??? shielding? where the hell was that? none of the ships had and source of shields what so ever. secondly in TNG. a single photon torpedo would have done serious damage on any object without shielding. secondly. if this was war. how come the ships didnt have their wartime refits done? i mean, its this post voyager. lastly. why desecrate the ori with their one shot kill? dude check your ###
Man this is good. ... ( 2 weeks ago by hoppers001)
Man this is good. One question, the last scene was messed up. Starfleet should have at least 1 ship left to report WTF happened. Again good video. Also man the star trek side got pounded big time.
Nagante, Star Trek ... ( 1 week ago by citanon)
Nagante, Star Trek was never self consistent anyways. One minute they can take out a star with a missile, and the next Worf needs a bazooka to blow up a few man sized boulders. None of the units were correct either. For example, a modern M1-Abrams tank generates about 5 MegaJoules of muzzle energy. Assuming a sabot projectile traveling at Mach 3, this energy is dissipated at a rate of 18 GigaWatts. Wait, that's far more powerful than the stated specs of the Enterprise main phaser. WTF?
Something like this ... ( 1 week ago by Browless1)
Something like this it doesn't seem to matter. It's pure shock value of seeing B5 and Star Trek slug it out.
Connie saves the ... ( 1 week ago by hoppers001)
Connie saves the day :) One thing I didn't like was it takes multiple ships to take out 1 babylon 5 cruiser while babylon cruisers were gutting star trek ships like fish. :(
I wonder what ... ( 1 day ago by Leondrius)
I wonder what happened to the other League of Non-aligned World ships around Babylon 5. And I'm also surprised the Whitestars were destroyed so easily. They are especially good at coordinating group attacks on enemies even when they are outnumbered or outgunned. I also think the Excalibur's beam-weapons would have done more damage, but that's just my opinion. It was still very interesting to watch
