This is such a great album. I saw Seal in London and he was "amazing"! I recommend it. The ballads are particularly beautiful.

I don't quite know if he's a genius. His most "genius" album, "Human Beings," was also the one that sold the least, so, at that point, Seal sold out and made two so-so albums. "System" is disappointingly awful for a Seal album. He goes the Madonna dance-track route, and the emotional charisma he brought to all his previous albums, yes, even the Seal IV CD, is just not here. And that duet with his wife? Terrible.

An amazing uplifting album, I love all the tracks on it but especially the first three, they make me think of the summer.
He has mixed acoustic and "dance track" sounds topgether very effectively. Seal is the man, keep it up. PS, I didn't know Heidi could sing so well!

I agree, Human Beings was excellent but really you have to accept artisits evolve, what if they never changed? We would complain they were the same as before.

I will go back and listen again. I am a moody music listener. I admit that some times I won't be in the mood to listen to even some of my favorit albums, sometimes to the point of disliking them. I'm a big music fan, so I know about artist evolution, change, etc. But I felt that Seal took a big step or two backward artistically. Human Beings is a great artistic statement. But after it didn't sell, Seal started coasting. Notice how the label didn't release a special version of Human Beings?
