You are correct, ... ( 1 month ago by noinwe)
You are correct, color has nothing to do with being a great musician. But, I must say that brothas(Blacks), have a feel that no other race of people have. It's something that we are born with. can't explain it, thats just how it is. So I understand what rock&rolradio was trying to say. What he really likes is the groove or the soul that we brothas have, pair that with great musicianship & you have great music.

People please don't ... ( 4 weeks ago by nino2lu)
People please don't fight in name of the "gift" and the "race" . In fact there is no "gift" in the music, it's the same thing for the other capacities of the HUMAN race .Cuz there is ONE race in the earth : the Human race. What is the difference? : the culture, the education ( house, family, color, religion and also MUSIC, sense of rythm, history of the people...etc)So, we can say rightly that many of Black people, in their culture let a important place of the music on the education.

It depends of many things .
Lenny Kravitz is black, he plays rock'n'roll !! Look at Nils Landgreen,Jamiroquai,Joss Stone... I'm an incontionnal fan of Black Music, because I love this way of grooving, singing with powerful . I'm musician too, I play funky music & I'm not Black . And I respect the fact that this music got a special history ! So, Music is here to get up the people,Black & white,Yellow etc... Peoples born Equals. The power of the Art is that their is no fronter, no limits.Peace.
well I'm no black ... ( 3 weeks ago by ioga24)
well I'm no black people..
but I definetely LOVE the way they treat music, which is very deep in feelings, like music is not just to be played, it is maybe too their daily food/consumption, they cant live without it... music is drugs to them, they're addicted to it..
thats the thing which made black people so understand-able in music language. BRAVO MARCUS MILLER!!!!

Alexowain , I said ... ( 3 weeks ago by nino2lu)
Alexowain , I said that Joss Stones , Jamiroquai, Nils Landgreen are great funky musicians and they are WHITE . Because I'd tried to explain that the color means nothing . That's the reason why I give some White musicians . But I'm French and maybe my english is too wrong !!!! :)
oh ok well i agree ... ( 1 week ago by alexowain)

I go the SLU in ... ( 1 week ago by JazzyBlues804)
I go the SLU in Louisiana and I play the Tenor, Alto, and Soprano saxophones, and I am white. Generally speaking, color has nothing to do with how hard you jam. I can rock harder than any sax player at my school. Again, COLOR MEANS NOTHING!!!!
.....GO MARCUS!
jamiroquai is not a ... ( 1 week ago by GingaPlayer2)
jamiroquai is not a person, it's a band... the singer in jamiroquai is Jay Kay, the bassist is Paul Turner, and they also have guitar, three chorus players, saxophone, trumpet, percussion, drums, DJ... so what do you mean by jamiroquai is a great funky musiscian? plus they play more like Acid Jazz stuff, i know it cuz i got all his cd's and DVD's
