| What a coincidence, I was just doing some comparative shopping for a new automobile. My gasoline expenses are getting more hefty these days, so I'm looking at a more fuel-efficient vehicle (namely, a Honda Civic). I haven't had much luck with American-made vehicles, personally. It seems that U.S. manufacturers aren't keeping pace with practical needs of American drivers; they are still locked into style (big, gimmicky, gas-guzzlers) not substance (affordable, reliable, fuel-efficient). |

| I'm a Canadian living in Korea there is no way that US companies can compete with Korean or Chinese companies let alone Japanese. The guys here work for free after they are done for the day until the work is done that won't happen back in the US. The smartcars are great had them in Canada for 3 years now. |

| Imagine if there was a true free market on fuels and energy developmetn. The corruption in our government has regulated such ideas. America would jump ahead of any country if we were allowed to produce other energy sources. Check out the ideas of Ron Paul and the free market he suggest. No other candidate supports anything but the oil and the lives that have been sacrificed for the self interest of the oil heads. Wake up people! |

| "American" car companies can not compete with foreign companies because of GAS CONSUMPTION! With the prices of gas around the world the U.S. could make a killing if they produced a car that was 100% free of fossil fuels. But they decided that producing overpriced SUV's were better for short term profits the than the EV1 (watch "Who Killed the Electric Car"). |
