Scare people from joining? Funerals like these helped entyice me to join. I joined the Marine Corps as an infantryman to go and defend my country with my own 2 bare hands. And although i dont want it to happen, i am willing to accept my fate. What better way to go out than in service to your country? I'd rather die young in combat defending the America i love than to die 80 years from now and never served my country on the front lines. Semper Fucking Fi

This is an amazing video. I don't see how anyone who calls themselves an American can't support our troops. Those men and woman fight for all Americans, even those who have nothing good to say about them. I'm thinking about joining the Marines after I'm done with high school.

Thank you for this video Jackie. I was wounded in Afghanistan and was forced out without my chance to help out in Iraq. I truly fear that some day it will become known that our politicians marginalized our troops and put them at extra risk by not providing them with every ounce of support they needed. If I find that we lost 1 brave volunteer because some politician didnt want to spend the money for him/her to have armor I am going to lose it.

As a former soldier myself with two combat tours ,I tell my two sons that one should serve thier country and while an active soldier stay out of politics and do your job as best you can.Thats what a good soldier does.

My farther served in Somalia. He was part of Opertaion Restore Hope. He was killed that day. Hes dream was to save people. Now my brother is serving in Iraq, following my dads dreams. Once im 20 im going to follow my dads dreams as well:)
