to be quite honest, to me it seems that the modern definition of satanism i.e. you are your own god is how every free-thinking individual in the world chooses to live, whether they call themselves religious or not. satanism seems to literally be sticking it to the christians by using the name of their favourite bogeyman and ignoring all doctrines of control and just living the way you want to live. that i wholeheartedly agree with.
