JoexEd, If Travelocity puts out a commercial for hotels and put women of color and a dumb blonde and talk just as sexual about taking care of you in your hotel room , you don't see a difference. Thank God in the USA we have the ACLU ,GLADD and other organizations that do watch out for stuff like this.

Did you know that most of the actors in this advertisement are actually heterosexual? None of them are actually flight attendants; they're really just straight actors doing a very good job. The producers usually prefer to use straight actors to play gay roles, because gay actors (or flight attendants) read too 'light' and don't act convincingly enough. It's a known fact in the film and theatre industry. I think many viewers actually didn't know that.

I've been on flights with male flight attendants--you're right, most of the are gay. They are also very nice people to all of the passengers and considerably less limp-wristed than the guys in this commerical. Like most people in the job, they're too busy and tired to make a spectacle of themselves . . .

I think that people may associate male flight attendants to be gay because some men dont think its 'man' enough to work in the service industry and its more of a female job but I'am probably wrong!
