Food and water (and general comfort) are more limiting factors than life support. The prototype has carried a crew of two, and the air in the cabin alone is sufficient for over two hours submerged without the addition of oxygen or CO2 removal. All production models will come standard with 48 hours emergency life support.

Air is supplied to the surface engines (twin 440 horsepower diesels) via a large vent at the top of the engine box. In dive mode, the vent seals watertight via hydraulic rams and latches. Submerged, the engines are protected from water intrusion by the addition of compressed air to the box, functioning like a diving bell and maintaining the ambient pressure.

Yes. Electric motors drive the hydraulic system, and hydraulic thrusters push the boat. The electric system is charged on the surface by the diesel engines and alternators. The batteries are located in tubes hidden under the decks. Production models may also use a snorkel in a semi-submerged state.
