I agree with you. I grew up with George Carlin from Mr. Conductor to his stand-up in Jr. High. I was a rebel then myself and I still am but George Carlin is the greatest stand-up comedian ever. I love his rants about America. As he puts it "Great country, but a strange culture" Carlin helped laugh as ourselves the way Richard Pryor did. I cried when they both died. I miss them terribly.

Well I have to say I don't understand why some folks don't like John Lipton. He is quite shy and silent, he doesn't interrupt his quest, he never gets too emotional and he has some taste and class in what he's doing. In other words he is the best interviewer I've ever seen. He don't have to be a great person himself - I want to hear guests not him. It's not David Latterman's Late Show when the host is most important.
Lipton does his job pretty well.
