Wanzell, I never said Karyn White wasnt attractive, Karyn said herself i think on Arsenial Hall show that she couldn't sing live, because when she does her throat gets dry and tightenes up from her nerves or something. Janet Jackson is mainly a dancer performer type singer which means she focuses more on her music and dance moves, Janet never came off like she was this super singer like Karyn White did.

She lipsynched this performance Kawaii, that's possibly why people are arguing that she cannot perform. This entire show was lipsynched though...so it doesn't apply.

THIS IS NOT LIPSYNCHING! Anyone who said so dont know the original version, and also prove that Karyn White can hold her ground LIVE! Now she may not be Shanice, Whitney or Mariah (the 2 latter in their heydays) but at least she still better than the Ciara, Rhianna, Ashanti of today, and I do prefer Karyn singing than Beyonce. Karyn is stellar and shudda won Grammy 4 this if Rhianna's Umbrella cud. Only show where Grammy is today! Crappy. Love ya Karyn COME BACK SOON!!!

I wouldn't bet my life either way, (lip synched or not) just by the quality of the video alone. It LOOKS lipsynched, yet this doesn't sound like any studio version/recording I've heard. It's ambiguos... don't be so sure either way.

BTW... it's no reflection on Karyn even if it were lip synched. It could have been policy on Dionne's show. Perhaps only Dionne is allowed to sing live, (she was a very smart business woman, and had to be starting out in the 50's as a black woman, after all).

I agree, it's not the original version. I'm not disputing that. This is another recorded version that she is lipsynching to. She recorded it for the show, then went up and lipsynched to it. Dionne had all her guests lip synch, unless they were dueting with her.
