sorry but this game was a mistake.. ffx story was great. would have been perfect without a sequel. not only did square waste time on this, they also ruined the popularity of the original ffx game and the ff series.
maybe they were trying to get more female gamers into the ff series?

Yuna IS NOT THE SINGER!! It's the stupid dressphere that makes her sing 1000 words, in reality Lenne is the singer, duh. And in the beginning that's not YUNA it's Le'Blanc. And together you get Final Fantasy Spice Girls style.

completely agree. I played this game and after 2 hours of trying to "get used to it," I gave up. Not because it was hard, but because it was so boring. It was geared way too much for girls. I don't know any guy that could have played this all the way. Disappointing.

I actually liked the game. For one thing the battle system was quite fun (because they could all attack at once instead of waiting for their turn), and because of the fact that they brought back the "multiple jobs for more than one person" thing from FF2,FF3(the japanese numbers btw),FF5,FFT& FFTA (not sure about the rest, never played them :o).

The story was lame. They should have done more with Paine, since she was the only moderately original character in the game. I liked her. But this was lame. Going back to all the same places and fighting all the same monsters? And then having no real story? I agree that is was too girly, but not in a good way. I am a girl, but I didn't feel I could relate to these characters the same way I related to them in the first game. Beautiful art direction though. I'll give it that.

Yeah, Paine could be a good main character, but the executive producer didn't want to. it's another" Romeo and Juliette " type of story as usual. Two lovers in two different worlds. About the game system : it's probably too similar in the whole FF serie, but they're trying to change it.

I hate Square Enix now, they need to go back to the old Final Fantasy... They keep changing the battle system and it is destroying the game to me. I used to always rush to buy the next Final Fantasy, but now... I just don't care about the new ones...
