You simply can't miss by this far with Ian Curtis and Joy Division; the Yes I Will Myself You Right Bastids overtones, the psychotic energy of the drumming, the mortuary bass lines.....Sorry, this is a failure.

That was a pretty poor representation of Ian Curtis' flailing arms. Seemed a half-hearted attempt. Curtis' arms were full of desperation.

amazing kick ass movie!! Sam Riley did a superb job with the acting involved as well as the singing although i admit he doesn't sound completely like Ian, but he did a good enough job at portraying a great writer and musician. This movie rocks!

ahh i disagree, i like sam riley wayyyyyyyyy more... the one and 24 hour party people resembles ian more in some ways but sam riley performs and dances better, and is overall more compelling.
