While driving home from work on January 23, 2008, I was stopped at a suspicionless homeland security checkpoint 40 miles North of the border on Southern Arizona's SR86 near mile marker 146.
The agents were searching vehicles, interrogating vehicle occupants regarding citizenship status and running a drug dog around stopped vehicles - all absent reasonable suspicion of wrongdoing. Problems with my camera prevented me from videotaping the entire stop. I was however quickly waved thro
ugh after the agents realized I was recording the encounter.

Actually it went fine patkpt330 - as far as suspicionless internal police state checkpoints go that is. If you had bothered to read the text description accompanying the video, that would have been obvious to you. The agent who stopped me was the same one who did so in the first video I posted from January 2008. She kind of hid between the front & rear doors of the vehicle after realizing I was videotaping the stop & quickly waived me through shortly thereafter.

I found a woman scalped off this road, stabbed and throat cut by smugglers. How many dead bodies litter the sides of this road would you guess. The morgue is filled and bodies are being held in refrigeration trucks. By the way, if the dog hits on anything while walking around your vehicle it gives the officers probable cause to search.

Do you mean if a dog 'hits' on something planted on the vehicle by an agent or if the agent queue's the dog to 'hit' on something? If you bothered to read matt45223, you would have realized this checkpoint stop went just fine as far as internal suspicionless checkpoints go that is. My camera decided to quit at the same time I picked it up. Regardless, the agent who stopped me was the same one who did in my Day 1 video. She half heartedly demanded my citizenship before waving me through.
